Plants in wrong places

Area overgrown with weeds

Before weeding. Invasive introduced plants choking out the natives

A weed is a plant in the wrong place, and Little Gubberley has its share of these on its banks and in the creek.

One of our main objectives is to remove the invasive exotic plants and replace them with indigenous species where appropriate.

Little Gubberley’s vegetation type is dry rainforest with a huge diversity of species from large and small trees, shrubs, vines, lilies, grasses to fungi.

We are constantly learning about our environment and its ecosystem through working at the creek.
