Our Events

National Tree Day

For the last four years the Merri Merri Park Bushland Care Group has organised specil planting events on National Tree Day. With support from Planet Ark we have been able to involve many community members, all eager to improve the health of natural bushland in their neighbourhood and to plant “their” trees.

Weedbusters Week

For many years we have participated in the annual Weedbusters Week, an initiative of the Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Mines. We get involved by holding special working bees each year to help combat invasive weeds on our bush care sites. The events are always very successful and help raise environmental awareness in the community.
