Honeyeater Track & "M of M" Club

The Honeyeater Track

The Honeyeater Track which winds its way from the back of the Hut car park to Sir Samuel Griffiths Drive, Mt. Coot-tha, has been constructed by Brisbane City Council over the past two years with the lower section completed early in 2003. It is proving very popular as a walking track by both the local community and by walking groups. The surrounds of the lower section of the Track over recent years have been extensively weeded of garden escapees, mostly succulent plant species and in a couple of badly eroded sections of the track erosion control methods were used.

The “Mother of Millions” Club

Mother of Millions

In April 2003 the "M of M" Club was formed at the Hut to tackle the environmental weed and garden escapee Bryophyllum spp commonly known as Mother of Millions  occurring along the edges of the Honeyeater Track between the Hut car park and the Greenford Street entrance.

The “M of M” Club meets at the Picnic Table behind the Hut car park on the

1st Saturday of the Month

9.00 am to 11.00 am

(including Morning Tea).

We always welcome new members to the Club. No experience is necessary just an enthusiasm to get rid of this tenacious environmental weed.
